Woohooooo new layout…… courtesy reflextions (takes a bow)…see all the publicity am giving ya!!…its been raining ..which is a respite to us ppl who have slave it out in the sun….well not really but its nice to crib and overact:P
I have been hooked onto this computer game for wat seems like months now!..I mean its not like the best game in the world but I cant get enuf of it…obv I haven’t bought it…..just dloading the free software …didn’t realize tht u can only do it once on a comp…does neone know if there is a way out???plssssssss help…this is an SOS call!!

Why is it wrong if a woman smokes and drinks?(not advocating it ..just saying it coz atleast in most places in India..its more frowned upon)
These are just some of the things I have been coming across in the past weeks…who decides them neways? and why do we need to follow them? Agreed that there has to be a certain set pattern and discipline, else ething will be haphazard…but why cant we just let things be and accept them as they are?
I really wonder if the Blog title matters tht much.......

was listening to the radio yday and there was a poll on whether, in a song, the lyrics matter or the music matters more...lyrics won hands down...but i really wonder...even if the lyrics in a song are crappy...good music can make u wanna listen to it...but i doubt if it wud work the other way round...i mean as u keep listening to a song.. the lyrics make an impression on u...but i just thot ppl were plain bluffing...just look at all the hit songs and we know!!

generalisations are an interesting thing. when we dont know, we generalise, went we personally know - we stop generalising. then when we know too much - we generalise again, with more autority.

but we do tend to generalise and sometimes generalisation may be a good thing, even tho we could call it a social stigma, society imposes generalisations on us at every level, even if the means of personal satisfaction or happiness arrives out of that stigma, like a cool phone , or an awesmoe car, or a new layout :D, its a feeling of want coupled with a feeling of recognition by the society around us, thus the generalisation

YMI, regd ur ?s on generalisations, (I ofcourse dont support them) but then I think u can see the way they r reasoned.
Like women are looked upon smoking n drinking cos it doesnt suit our culture & it doesnt suit our culture cos woman is known for bearing children & hence not good for the female body even if shes not pregnant. Im not too @ explaining but just think on those lines.
Same way the poorest of the poor is suspected cos logically they r the most needy & r more vulnerable to such things. Tho they might not have done it.

Ans: I am normal by many parameters. I donot dislike babies but I wont be the one who is
fussing around them and saying chubby cheeks...My gal friend would always run up to any baby
in the neighbourhood and begin to bond and I would stand at a distance and just watch them.

WOmen maybe more frowned upon...For me it is simply because smoking and drinking are not the best things I would want to do, simply coz of medical reasons,why frown, I dunno!
Regards the hit point in a song- I too vote hands down on Lyrics. Hit songs have the beat to it which goes in any mood, in parties and thus are just a hit...The ones with deep meaning lyrics is more deep and not suited for a party for contemplation but do we miss the good lyrics music? At the end of the day, if I feel low, I want to hear good lyrics, something calm and meaningful. But its just me, times I value lyrics is more than anything.

as far as the lyrics vs music go, I am more in to lyrics....if the lyrics of a song r not exciting..I dont listen to it very ofetn....what u said abt good music holds still when u r dancing or something...
But if u think of songs from yester years, which are eternal...all of them survive today just because of the awesome lyrics!

Generalisations or assumptions are when we take things for granted and dont bother to look deeper.
I think, it is easy to assume & generalise but it's very hard to become aware of them. But, I believe, we must do it as the clearer we try to understand something, the more connections we can make and the more limitations we can perceive.

a women smoking and drinking persay isnt wrong, but smoking is bad for health. I think a drink a week (within limits) is fine.
When my mom found out I drink (imagine tam brahm fam), she called me and asked me not to drive.
When i saw a girl light up in college, I got a 12KV culture shock. Small town guys dont know what to make of all this. That was a decade back :D.

as for the game, u cld try and find a Software called "Trial Doctor" ... this one wld erase registry entries of that game and then u cld reinstall da gme ... but there's no gaurantee.
Simpler wld be to install Limewire and then search for the full version of the game ... u cld find just about anything there ...
