Booooooooooooooooooooo!

Fear … No matter what a person says about him/her being fearless, I think all of us have our little fears… Fear of heights, closed spaces, empty spaces……fear of losing someone…cockroaches, lizards…God…the list is endless…

I must confess. I am scared of the DARK…I really am!...I mean when I was a little kid I remember watching padhimunaam number veedu (translated into House number 13)…and there was this lame ghost in a white sari thingy…and I was scared of walking to the kitchen to get water…The I thought “OK I’m little so I can be scared of the dark..not a bad thing”…but no!...its just not leaving me!...even now I watch a lot of horror movies…really scary ones…some stupid ones.. I mean how many ppl wudve watched the Grudge and gotten scared??? Well no points for guessing…I am one of them…I just have a very wild imagination so later on when I think abt it I let my imagination run wild….ok enuf said abt tht….I also have this vague fear of swings inside the house..and ppl playing with these rubber balls… You know these long wooden swings tht u can find in most Tam-brahm houses…I get this feeling that as I swing higher and higher its gonna crack and hit all walls…the same with playing….its just very weird..maybe there is some “previous birth” thing..hehe…

I really wanted to write abt voodoo , black magic and stuff…coz I just heard abt some incidents that occurred in Kerala…pretty scary when u hear abt the stuff they can do…ghosts, spirits, charms, the works…neways with my xams coming up I havent had too much time to research on tht….

Will be interesting to know abt the fears other ppl have,..tht way I will consider myself to be sane…as yet

P.S….i guess this sounds like a lame-ass post written for the heck of writing…and no harjee this is not because u asked me too..i mean not ONLY because u asked me too…just been wanting to blog abt this for a looongg time…so theree…

Hey...You have a bunch of tiny phobias n they translate to fear for most people....You know just keep your eyes open n look into the dark, slowly you can see a little bit and tht may make u feel more safe...Anyways, I know this one for sure- When it is dark, you know your surrounds better than an alien or someone who comes to your house or where ever you live...You have an edge over that.

Most fears are what our mind tricks us to doing...Like seeing seeing the ghost in a saree n tht too in the cursed No 13 house...YOu must realise tht if you are scared within, everything outside can scare you...Once you make up your mind to not be afraid, nothing will bother you....It's all in the mind...I shall wirte a story tht helped me over come my silly fears in my post in a while n maybe tht will help u....

The swing....Yea..My grandparents got it from a Tam bram couple n put it in our home..Now mind you tht my ancestral hom eis 150 years old, all wooden n all tht, mal though...I dont like the swing coz it makes me nauseatic...Not coz I am scared...Wht worse can happen even if I fall down..Just hurt some part,....I think I can deal more than tht...

All of us can endure much more than what we think we can handle or endure. Just straighten your mind n speak to n tell it that you are not going to be scared n you wont!!

I have done the "calling the spirits" game n nothing happened..the spirit, if it ours or external came, answered some uestions, we asked tht think to go n it didnt so my friend actually stamoed the coin we were using to play this n told in a loud voice- Just go, we have finished! It went off!!!

I have been in real fearful situations n then have in time relaised most of it is our imagination because of our subconscious inhibitions we have had in our past, maybe child hood, stories told to us but have you really experienced any thing in flesh and blood. I dont think so! and it wont happen either...
Your movie watching teminds me of my sis who would cover her eyes with her hands n eatch the movie between a smal gap as the movie is scary n I used to make fun if her...Now she lives alone in a spooky place n her daily life involves looking at dead bodies...

Oooops, i have written way too much, like a post itself!!!! :) You can kill me or send your fears to me n I shall straighten it out n send em as life to you!! :) :)

Trust me you are sane (hehehee)., most women out there are scared of cockroaches and dark. Even if they are not., they do managed to throw a scream when they see a dumb cockroach doing its own business a meter away... :P

Well., swings in a lonely huge house is indeed slightly eerie.. :)

tumhara darna zaroori hai...

i've called (tried) spirits and all with friends but nobody came :-(
then once went to stay over with friend who lives near the cemetry (didn't know) and they all collectively decided to return my calls...
have never gone to stay over again... no matter what time, i leave...

thanks for the update.
my thanks stands directly proportional to the percentage of contribution it made towards an update.

I guess Asians on the whole tend to believe in the supernatural more than out western counterparts. On 1 hand, i think we hve more to fear frm humans than these beings. But the human's inate fear of the unknown also comes into play. Even in modern cities like s'pore, such fear and superstition abounds. For me personally, hve come across sum weird goingons but nothing has jumped out infront of me (touch wood!) Do write abt the local ghost stories, wld love to read abt them ;-)

i am not sure where my beliefs lie....but I prefer not to test them and just avoid all of it..

but I hear a lot of stuff abt charms etc back home..and sometimes it all appears belivable...

Dont know abt ghosts...but think spirits do exist

The only time I got really scared is when we had one of our relatives murdered in her home. This happened one week after my aunt passed away. That whole episode was quite shicking more than anything else. I remember leaving the lights on and going to sleep 2-3 nights in a row.

I am scared of heights...nope I am terrified of them. My cousin and I used to go to the terrace of our 13 storey building and she used to walk on the parapet fearlessly while I am standing and shitting bricks asking her to step down.

I am scared to losing my ability to speak and I fear hairfall.

So there you go...HAPPY???:-)
